| "One of the nicest
parks we have stayed at, the only detractor was beyond their control, the
weather (almost 65mph wind gusts). Loc: Across from the main base, near
housing, not much around it. Clean/Hosp: Very friendly staff, grounds
although gravel/dirt, very clean even with the wind. Amn/Fac: Nice walking
trails, great dog play area and the base has full facilities along with a
very nice all weather surface jogging trail. Value: A very good deal for a
resort town, stayed at another civilian park with a group (a resort park)
that was quite a bit more for not much more (a pool). We will stay here
again." |

From the South: From I-15, take exit 48 heading East on Craig Road. Travel
about 2.5 miles and turn left onto Las Vegas Blvd North (Hwy 604). DO NOT
go straight into the Nellis Main Gate. Go another .6 miles and turn left
again (West) on Range Road (this is directly across from Nellis AFB north
gate). From the North: From I-15, take exit 58 heading South on Las Vegas
Blvd North (Hwy 604). Go almost 7 miles and turn right (West) in Range
Road (this is directly across from Nellis AFB north gate). Both: After
turning West onto Range Road, this will take you into the Range Road gate.
After curling around the gate entrance, go 2 streets down and make a left
onto Stafford Dr. Follow the Desert Eagle RV Park signs. After about .25
miles, make a right turn on Fam Camp Dr. Go to the end of the road and
turn right into the campground. The registration office is on the
left. |

to get Verizon service and many local TV stations via the antenna. The
Wi-Fi was marginal. The sites are gravel and not particularly roomy. The
dump station is not in a level area so getting ones tanks completely
emptied is not possible. So, it is important to reserve a full hookup
site. When we were there the sites were rather muddy. We camped here in a
Travel Trailer" -

Main Street Station RV Park is 1/2 Block north of the California Hotel. The
entrance is on Main Street (drive north past the MAIN STREET STATION
HOTEL.) The park entrance is one block north of the Main Street
Station Hotel, on the east side of Main St. |
| Registration check in is at the Main Street Station
Hotel. If you arrive after hours there are registration forms in a
drop box at the park entrance. You can temporarily park your rig in
the lot in front of the park, be sure to inform the desk. |
| The Main Street Station RV Park is just a remnant of what it
used to be. Full electric, water and sewer hook-ups are still
available, however there is no cable/phone service. Guests can
use the swimming pool at the California Hotel. There are showers (men's and
women's) and a laundry room. The park is well patrolled by security,
in fact you see their SUV's drive by about every 1/2 hour.
The rates make up for the lack of amenities. Updated Rates as of
July 11, 2010 -

guests as well as guests of The RV Park. ("If we're guests, how come
they charge us?") Really it's an oasis in the middle of downtown Las
Vegas. |

| If you are on a budget or you just like to be near the
downtown action, this RV park is AOK. Walk 1/2 block through the
Main Street Station's parking lot to downtown hotels. Walk a block
more to the Fremont Street Experience. Click to link to the LVBC

area walk south, through the parking lots, to Stewart Street, turn left

of the park) to the north/east can be somewhat dicey at times. |

Sam's RV Park. It's primarily for longer stays. The Nellis park, although adequate, is not quite as nice as the main park. It
does have a swimming pool, showers, laundry, rec-room etc. however it
doesn't have the landscaping of the main park, and it's about a block and
a half walk from the main buildings. It's a bit poorer relative of the
main park on Boulder Highway - LasVegasBuffetClub. |

Road and I-15, is a way favorite of the Las Vegas Buffet Club. In
quickly disappearing "Open Air Country" you can breath fresh air in this
park on the outskirts of Las Vegas (although the city is closing in.)

the street from the
Silverton Hotel Casino. Each RV space has a patch of grass, a few feet of log fencing, telephone/computer lines, TV
jacks and all of the
other necessary hookups. The R.V. Park features a pool for
adults and a pool for kids (with fountains, slides, a water "fort" and more.)
This is an excellent family park. Shuttle and bus service are available. |
