| ChinaTown Plaza is a rapidly expanding Asian commercial-center, on
Spring Mountain Road, just a few minutes west of the Las Vegas Strip:
Drive west (from Las Vegas Boulevard) on Spring Mountain Road (Spring
Mountain Road is on the north-side of The Treasure Island Hotel) to the
4200 Block of Spring Mountain Road. The cross street is Wynn Road. |
| An Asian food-market, restaurants (including a small Chinese
food-court in the Chinatown Plaza Mall,) jewelry and gift shops, a
Ginseng store, Hair-design, Real Estate office and more offer their wares.

| One block east of Chinatown Plaza is The Center On Spring Mountain, which encompasses several blocks now.
More Asian (and American) businesses are open for trade. |
| Not quite San Francisco's China Town, however, this is the very best
of what Las Vegas has to offer, in terms of an Asian commercial-center. |

restaurant, Satay opened in early November. |
| I made one trip for take-out.
I ordered Pad Thai ($7.95.) It was prepared properly and
included several shrimp as well as chicken. There are four intimate
canopied-booths, a dozen tables and a slick bar. |
