|
| Casa Don Juan (La Casa Del Marisco) is an authentic
Mexican restaurant that serves traditional Southwestern Mexican food:
tacos, enchiladas, Chile rellenos, fish, chicken, rice and beans, steak,
shrimp, pork, combinations, fish entrées, American burgers and fries,
Mexican fries etc. Full bar service, including the preparation of
traditional Margaritas is offered. |
| The menu is fairly extensive and typical with a bit more
seafood than the average Mexican restaurant. |
|
| Casa Don Juan is in an older area of Las Vegas - which
might be a bit unnerving after dark, if you're from the suburbs - or maybe
a great adventure, if you're adventuresome. Casa Don Juan is a
free-standing restaurant with free parking in the rear and at meters in
front. The restaurant is on Main Street, which is a few blocks West
of Las Vegas Blvd. and about mid-way between downtown and the Strip (Call
for directions.) Main St. cuts through a commercial area which is
home to furniture stores, second-hand shops, automotive repair shops etc. |
|
| This restaurant could be swapped with a Mexican restaurant in Mexico,
Arizona, New Mexico or Southern California with no one being the wiser.
In other words, it's the real thing. |
| Although the food seems to be of good quality, well
prepared, tasty and accurate, the physical properties of the restaurant
don't necessarily suggest an A-list place. Maybe it's just the
neighborhood.. |
| Authentic South of the Border/Tex-Mex cuisine is fairly
new to Las Vegas (excepting high-end joints,) so I'm listing this
restaurant for the folks who need to find a basic Margarita, beer,
enchilada and rice and beans haven. |
