| Similar to Mexico's
mainland which is due east, across The Sea of Cortez, |
| Baja is a beautiful desert
region populated by Native Indians, Mexicans and |
| retired San
Diegans. Many Asians have opened business's along the
border. |
| Border towns have elaborate Chinese restaurants. Just about every
ethnic |
| group is
represented. |
| Baja is a treasure.
Breathtaking coastlines, mountains and desert areas - like |
| the Saguaro Cactus
"forest" - make this an exciting travel destination. There is |
| beauty beyond imagination. |
| With a few exceptions, most
of the towns are very small. Dirt roads are not un- |
| common; In fact the
occasional dirt-floor - of a residence - may be seen. |
| Roadside taco-stands are
plentiful. Coastal cities offer seafood-tacos as |
| well as sophisticated seafood
restaurants... |
