Just Uptown on
East Sixth Avenue this restaurant has been doing business since the 60's -
there has a change of management.
The Pizza is
not NY style - it's definitely *Colorado style pizza. If you are a
New York style aficionado, you might want to order something else, or if
you are adventurous, try the pizza. Calzones are also available.
This dark wood, booths/tables and "stained glass" artsy restaurant is a
neighborhood favorite. Weather permitting, they also offer patio
dining.

Southern
Italian pasta dishes and other entrees are served: Thick homemade or
thin spaghetti with a choice of red sauces or the
Garlic/Olive Oil are pasta basics. Traditional meats or Sautéed mushrooms can be added and served with a
dinner salad and (tasty) Garlic bread. Lasagna, chicken, soups, desserts
etc. are on the menu and are OK. 1/2
or full carafes of the House (o.k.) wines are available or order
from the sufficient wine/beer list.
I usually order the Homemade
noodles with the red sauce; I add sautéed mushrooms. (They use the pizza sauce
for the red pasta sauce.)

| The restaurant
is very casual, but a step up from a Pizza joint. The keywords here
are comfortable and cozy. Well, some of the old booths are a bit
uncomfortable - The table top doesn't seem to be the right height for the
seat or vice versa...At least it's different... |

| If you're not looking for gourmet entrees
and are just looking for a cozy restaurant to chat & chew, this would
not be a bad choice. |
